I continue to be amazed and disgusted by our antipathy to brown-skinned immigrants. Who were the workers who constructed the Transcontinental Railroad? They were Scots-Irish, Mexican and Chinese. The white Scots-Irish are fully integrated. The Mexicans and the Chinese are still being told, four generations later, to go back where they came from. (It’s especially stupid to tell this to Mexicans, who had been here thousands of years before Colonial Europeans came, brokering land deals and delineating political borders.)
Just what middle-class family is willing to pick broccoli, or work on road crews, or as night janitors in office buildings? Just what jobs are immigrants stealing from us? They’re working as cleaning women and nannies for wealthy citizens. They’re picking peaches and lettuce. They’re slaving away in kosher slaughterhouses, which are now in danger of closing down because the ‘legal’ replacement workers they hired have refused to work for the $10-$12 wages that the immigrants accepted. All they’re doing is trying to provide for their families, to make their futures secure. ‘Real’ Americans are going to be in for a real shock when they find that the shelves in the stores aren’t being stocked, that crops are rotting in the fields, that landlords, who housed immigrant workers, are being foreclosed upon due to an inability to pay their mortgages and property taxes. All those immigrants who shopped in our stores will no longer be paying sales taxes. All those immigrants who contributed to Social Security using false SSNs, with no hope of ever collecting, (due to their illegal status) will be gone.
This all in the name of Homeland Security. I may be wrong about this (and I’ll check) but I think that everyone of the 9/11 hijackers was in the US legally. We’re idiots.

What don’t you people get?????????? These are ILLEGAL immigrants. They didn’t come to our country the lawful
way. The way millions of others (Italians, Scotch-Irish, English, Chinese, Japanese, Germans, Greeks, Russians)
came in the proper manner. They came ILLEGALLY and they are CRIMINALS!! If they chose to come to America …. do it the RIGHT way. That’s the POINT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
